The New Year is officially upon us, and this year is going to be a major one in my life. It always seems like something exciting happens when I transition into a new year, but this year is really going to be a significant one. The reason that I already know that something truly extraordinary is going to happen this year is because I am going to be getting engaged later this year. Yes, you read that correctly; by the middle of 2009, I am going to have a fiancee.

I have to admit that even though my proposal isn’t going to take place for awhile, I am already nervous about it. I truly love the woman I will be proposing to with all of my heart, and all I want to do is make sure that my proposal goes perfectly (so she will always be able to remember it).

Since this has pretty much been the only thing on my mind lately, I actually ended up buying an engagement ring a couple of weeks ago. I had been planning to wait, but as I was Christmas shopping, I came across a Robin Brothers engagement ring that I knew was perfect.
